DAMAC’s Hussain Sajwani receives Lifetime Achievement Award

The Chairman and Founder of DAMAC has reached the milestone achievement after being recognised for his accomplishments at the company.

Developer DAMAC Group has announced that its Chairman and Founder Hussain Sajwani has been conferred the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Gulf Business Awards.

The awards recognise companies and industry leaders across the real estate, energy, tourism and hospitality, aviation and transport, finance, healthcare and retail sectors. Last year, Hussain was praised for his trailblazing work across industries and borders, from the UAE and Middle East to Europe, North America, Asia and North Africa.

Joining a cohort of previous winners including HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and HE Sheikh Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi among other pre-eminent figures, Hussain established DAMAC Group in 1982 and has grown the company expeditiously since through its catering and logistics arm.

“I am humbled and profoundly grateful for this honour by Gulf Business and my esteemed colleagues. I want to also express my immense gratitude for the visionary guidance of the UAE’s leaders, who have created an unrivalled platform for attaining success, resonating not only within my homeland, the UAE, but around the world. This award, however, is not just mine, but a collective triumph shared by every dedicated member of DAMAC Group. Each accolade I receive is a shared victory, a cause for collective celebration uniting us all.”

The 11th Gulf Business Awards ceremony took place at Palazzo Versace Dubai and was attended by over 250 corporate leaders, C-suite executives, luminaries and trailblazers. Speaking at the event, Ian Fairservice, Managing Director and Group Editor-in-Chief of Motivate Media praised the regional business community on their success and the role they have played in driving incredible growth.

“For more than 25 years, Gulf Business has stood witness to the amazing transformation of the Gulf region, particularly the UAE. We have cheered every milestone as it morphed from a vast desert expanse into a powerhouse of economic growth and innovation.”
