RIC secures contract for new cluster in DAMAC Hills 2

DAMAC continues its impressive work at Dubailand with a contract agreement with RIC for a cluster at the DAMAC Hills 2 development.

Developer DAMAC Properties has awarded UAE-based firm Royal International Construction (RIC) a new AED 240m contract for main works for a new cluster in DAMAC Hills 2 in Dubai.

This includes the construction of the main works package for 526 townhouses located within the 55 million sq ft master community at DAMAC Hills 2. The announcement marks another in a long list of contracts awarded for the master community and is testament to DAMAC’s commitment to delivering a truly well-rounded and high-quality living experience for residents.

Located in Dubailand, DAMAC Hills 2 offers unrivalled residential amenities including a large aviary for residents to stroll through as birds fly around them, multiple sports pitches, courts, an outdoor cinema, a dog park, a petting farm, jogging and cycling tracks.

“With the appointment of RIC, we are well on track with the promises made to investors and future residents, and I look forward to welcoming the first residents in the new cluster as planned. DAMAC Hills 2 launched in 2014 and has more than 30,000 residents.”

Alongside this, DAMAC unveiled new amenities at the community, including Malibu Beach where residents can enjoy the wave pool and splash pads, lazy river, VIP and regular cabanas, big-screen TV, juice bar, beach volleyball court, BBQ pits, kids’ play area, surround sound system and DJ. The community has also opened two nurseries and its community includes a Carrefour grocery store, restaurants, and other retail outlets.

The developer launched its third master development in Dubai — DAMAC Lagoons – in late 2021, and it has already earned the accolade of being the UAE’s first pre-certified LEED Platinum community development under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Cities and Communities Rating System. The developer also launched its latest tower, Altitude in April 2024.
