Dubai real estate transactions passed AED 2.8bn

Dubai real estate transactions passed an eye-watering figure this week as the property market continues to heat up.

Real estate transactions in Dubai amounted to over AED 2.87bn on Thursday 4 July 2024, according to statistics supplied by Dubai Land Department (DLD).

This eye-watering sum proves that Dubai, and the other emirates, are a property hotspot, rivaling anywhere in the world.

The most expensive residential property sold on 4 July was worth AED 43m. The dwelling was an off-plan flat in the Burj Khalifa area.

The residential market of Dubai saw unprecedented levels of activity in the second quarter of this year. Overall transaction volumes hit an all-time high of 35,310. This equates to a significant 20.5% rise year over year.

Also, the average cost of a home in Dubai increased by 20.7% year over year, with rises of 20.4% and 22.1% for flats and villas, respectively.

It seems that whatever instability there is across the world, the Dubai property market shows no sign of burnout. People can and want to do business in Dubai.

This is further enhanced as the emirate has emerged as a prime destination for luxury yachts.

The luxury yacht market is hotting up in Dubai as the demand for premium vessels increases and the emirate is cashing in.
